Privacy Policy — Emergency Response Alliance Pty Ltd (ERA)
Last Updated: 10 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Emergency Response Alliance Pty Ltd (ABN 91 662 804 113) (“ERA”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you visit our website at erasafety.net, including our marketing and campaign landing pages (together, the “Site”).
By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Our mobile application and related services (the “Services”) are covered by their own Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. This policy applies to the Site only.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to visitors of the Site — for example, people researching our products, booking a demonstration, reading our articles, or arriving from one of our advertisements. The Site is intended for workplace and organisational audiences. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: (a) you provide it, (b) we collect it automatically when you browse the Site, and (c) advertising platforms pass it to us when you click one of our advertisements.
2.1 Information you provide
- Name, email address, phone number, organisation and any message content you submit when you book a demonstration or contact us through forms on the Site.
- The content of emails and other correspondence you exchange with us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location (derived from your IP address).
- Site usage information, such as pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, time on page, and the website that referred you to us.
2.3 Campaign and attribution information
- If you arrive at the Site from one of our advertisements, the campaign parameters in the link and the click identifier assigned by the advertising platform.
- We store these in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days so that, if you later make an enquiry, we know which campaign brought you to us.
2.4 Sensitive information
We do not seek to collect sensitive information through the Site. Please do not include sensitive information in enquiry forms.
3. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how the Site is used and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. These include:
- Attribution: a first-party cookie that records, for up to 90 days, the campaign that brought you to the Site, so a later enquiry can be attributed to it.
- Analytics: cookies that record page views and on-page interactions against a random identifier. We do not link this identifier to the name or email address of ordinary Site visitors.
- Advertising: cookies set when we run campaigns on advertising platforms (such as Google, Meta or LinkedIn), used to measure conversions from our advertising and, where enabled, build advertising audiences.
You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the Site remains usable without them. Advertising platforms also provide their own controls for opting out of personalised advertising.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Respond to enquiries and arrange product demonstrations.
- Operate, secure and improve the Site.
- Measure which marketing activity is effective, including attributing enquiries to the campaign or channel that generated them.
- Advertise our products, including measuring conversions from our advertising. If you click one of our advertisements and then take an action on the Site — such as booking a demonstration — we may report that conversion back to the platform that served the advertisement. These reports are based on the platform’s click identifier and cookies; they do not include your name or contact details.
- Send direct marketing where permitted (see Section 7).
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
5. Sharing and disclosure
5.1 With service providers
We use trusted service providers to operate the Site and our marketing. They are required to protect information and use it only to provide services to us. They include:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Analytics providers.
- Advertising platforms (such as Google, Meta or LinkedIn)
- Email delivery providers.
- Our customer-relationship and lead-management systems, which receive your enquiry together with the campaign attribution described in Section 2.3.
5.2 Legal reasons
We may disclose information to comply with law, regulation, court order or enforceable request, or to investigate and prevent fraud, security incidents or harm.
6. Data residency and overseas disclosures
Primary hosting: the Site and its database are hosted in Australia.
Overseas processing: some service providers process limited data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union.
Where we disclose information overseas, we remain accountable for that information and take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle it in a manner consistent with this policy and the Australian Privacy Principles. We note that overseas recipients are subject to the laws of their own jurisdictions, which may differ from Australian privacy law.
7. Direct marketing
We only send direct marketing where permitted under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us at help@erasafety.net. We will action opt-out requests promptly.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls and secure transmission. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, support our marketing, and meet legal obligations. Campaign attribution cookies expire after 90 days.
9. Your choices and rights (Australia)
You may:
- Access and correct personal information we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Control cookies through your browser and the advertising platforms’ own opt-out settings.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will not charge you to make a request and will respond within a reasonable period (usually within 30 days).
10. Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handle personal information:
- Contact us with details of your complaint.
- We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the “Last Updated” date. The current version will always be available at erasafety.net/privacy, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
